I'm a person with dyslexia, and I first got my diagnosis when I was in ninth grade. And I was struggling significantly in all of my classes. But the one that really sticks out in my mind is my French class, because I was very close with my teacher and she was working on the side to tutor me and help me engage in French, and I just wasn't succeeding. And she said to the whole class, "I just want everyone to know that Gabbie is dyslexic, and she is not going to be participating in memorization anymore."
