The experience of raising a twice-exceptional child is one that can be really exciting and can also be very confusing. Because twice-exceptional students can have, and do have, great strengths in certain areas, but they also have weaknesses and limitations in other areas. One of the first things I remember about recognizing my son's intellectual curiosity was when he was about 3 years old, and we were taking a trip into New York, and we saw a sign and it said "Welcome to New York.
