As a scientist who studies neuroscience and education, being dyslexic is a huge part of my identity. In the beginning I was really drawn to science, in part because it has so many ingrained supports for people who have learning and attention issues. For example, the whole apprenticeship model. How you work with more senior scientists, and also using supports like a science notebook. Everyone documents every piece of what they do in science, but really it's a way of having executive functioning support.
