I live in Plano, Texas. I am the mother of three amazing boys. I have multiple learning differences. My kids have them, as well. I was born and raised in Mexico City. I went through my schooling
in private schools. I was a very hyper kid. I remember being in first
grade and having my desk placed right next to the door because
the teacher basically said, "If you don't sit and do your work, the next step will be
for you to be stepping out of the class." In the Hispanic culture,
we don't like to talk about things like that. It's a stigma. It's
something that, you know, you don't want people to
