If your child is considering a vocational or technical school, first and foremost it's important that that's what your child wants. That that's what's going to keep him engaged in school. I think that's a huge issue for kids with learning and attention issues, particularly at the high school level, is making sure that they stay engaged. Because unfortunately too many of these kids still drop out of school. The second thing that I would look to with a vocational school is making sure that this is a school that prepares kids for the future, not the past.
