So, four years ago, as a volunteer at the University of Montana Zoological Museum, we got a call from Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks about a gray wolf that had been hit by a car -- and, as many of you still fondly remember, we filmed aspects of the preparation process: skinning it, and gutting it... You know, all the pretty parts. This was because I really wanted to show you guys how museums turn road-killed animals into valuable research specimens.
