In a major investigation, this documentary exposes the chlorine industry’s negligence in tackling a potential time bomb - dioxin.  As the programme reveals there is no safe level of exposure to dioxin on the contrary, this fatal substance has been linked to a series of major medical conditions such as heart attacks, liver disease and neurological problems.  
The Perfect Poison examines what is being done to stop its proliferation and comes up with a set of alarming results.  The chlorine industry’s reluctance to take responsibility has serious implications for us all, as there is evidence enough to suggest that this poison, concentrating in our seas and rivers, has already entered the food chain.  With the chlorine industry refusing to monitor and police itself, the dioxin time bomb continues to tick.
